Hello readers! I hope you all are fine and safe.
COVID-19 has had a large impact on the entire universe. Whether it is in business or in our normal lives.
If we look at it from a business perspective, even the most successful businesses have been hit badly by the aftereffects of the virus.
Well, and yeah, the aftereffects has also affected my eyes too. The screen time has horrendously increased for me and unlike others, I too had to follow the new trend “Sit and do Screen work” and got those glasses on me.
Spot on I fit in my surname well now but whoops…I think “EYE SEE YOU NOW”. Just a quick suggestion to my readers, watch out for your eyes this pandemic!
Moving ahead, we know that the economy has really hit people hard, and finding alternative sources of income is the first thing in everyone’s mind.
Being successful at Digital Marketing requires some practices, strategies, and much more. My third blog is all about how to develop and evolve with digital marketing strategies.
Digital Marketing may be a fierce river that ebbs and flows. It cuts through all obstacles changing course to urge where it must go. Digital Marketing is easy but at the same time, it may be complicated.
Navigating the terrain can cost you thousands of dollars and sink you to the backside if you are unaware of what you’re doing.
Also, there are these big guys — like search engine optimization (SEO), digital advertising, social media marketing, and the list goes on. And each category represents a specialty of its own along with a unique set of skills and best practices. In other words, what happens in SEO is very different than what happens in social media marketing.
However, don’t let this scare you. This is exactly why I have scripted this article. My goal is to present you 5 out of the Box Digital Marketing Tactics that will help you to extend engagement with your community and hopefully, increase your sales.
So are you ready to dive into these 5 strategies? Let’s head on then!
1. Identify your Goals and Tools
Every marketer must know how important this stage is. Without goals, the strategy simply will not work, so your main task is to define them. Make a note that the goals you developed are suitable, and make them measurable.
Example of a weak marketing goal:
Increase the conversions on the website next year and make two promotional offers.
What is wrong with this goal?
Right, it’s non-measurable! How can one measure the progress using this goal?
Here is how it should have been formulated:
Increase the conversions on the website by 20 percent in the first quarter of 2020, and build two promotional offers: free marketing report and a maybe marketing book. Have them online by Feb and March respectively.
There, measuring progress becomes possible now.
2. Brainstorm. Find Out Your Immediate Needs
Think about one of your immediate business needs. Then, turn this need into a practical goal that you want to achieve (e.g.: secure 2 new customers this month, increase my website traffic, etc…).
Then, set a sensible timeframe by when this goal should be achieved. And after all, set aside a reasonable monthly budget. (If you’re restricted by budget, it’s ok, start small. Simply select the type of online channel where you recognize your most valuable audience is and grow your strategy from there.
Don’t you think it’s always a better choice to have a mini internet presence than nothing at all? Yes, definitely it is! It will surely help you in building your digital marketing strategies.
3. Tribe It
You may not believe this but there are plenty of individuals out there who are in the same boat and are looking to induce their eyes on the content. Find a group in the same niche and just begin to engage and get to know them and learn from them.
Make sincere connections and begin to build them up and share their content along with your audience. I believe the primary rule in digital marketing is to build authentic relationships.
Well, I believe that the first victories in digital marketing come from the support of our comrades. Do you feel the same too? Let me know in the comment section:)
4. Evaluate Existing Channels to improvise your Digital Marketing Strategies
People are asking questions that you can simply answer on various platforms. Hang around in those forums and answer those that you know.
Pay close attention to what your audience is talking about and also to the problems they are facing. Then create that solution and bring it out to them. In my opinion, one of the forums that would work wonders for this strategy is Quora. Don’t be spammy or else you will be doomed. So just find questions you can answer and try to give it it’s real value.
You need to analyze the digital assets and channels that you are already using. It could be anything including website, blog content, social media account, word-of-mouth, Google Adwords, paid advertising, and so on.
Ask yourself: how effective were they and how can you use them for the upcoming years?
It is okay if your future digital marketing strategy process doesn’t incorporate all of these elements, but surely it should use those that were the most effective in the previous year.
For example, if you have used social media marketing and have got more leads or traction from it then use it again but improve it as much as possible. The same formula applies to other assets and channels too.
5.Other Social Media Experts
Get connected with other Social Media Experts. Talk with them, engage and interact with them. The amazing thing about Marketing is that there are Experts that are willing to assist you and show you the ropes of the trade. You’ll find them on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, etc. All you need is some kind of research for them and then find those that mesh with your Brand. You can learn more about social media marketing from one of my previous blogs.
Does this all seem a bit overwhelming? No worries.
Like Rancho in the movie, 3-idiots was innovative and kept on trying and evolving with his experiments, you too need to begin with one digital marketing strategy and build out from there.
The foremost vital thing is that you simply start somewhere. Nobody can become wealthy with a blink of an eye, but yes we all crave that huge slice of the pie! Don’t we?
So to wrap it up, all good things come with time, and yes “Digital Marketing isn’t just a sprint, it’s a marathon.” The longer you run, the higher you can sustain in it and the results, in turn, will be even better!
